The International Scientific Conference of Engineering Sciences and Advances Technologies (IICESAT)
The International Scientific Conference of Engineering Sciences and Advanced Technologies (IICESAT) will be held at Bayan University - Erbil, Iraq, on 6 - 7 March 2027.

IICESAT is organized by the Bayan University (Erbil, Iraq), Trio Press Academy (Indonesia), in cooperation with the National University of Science and Technology (Thi-Qar, Iraq), and Al-Zahrawi University (Karbala, Iraq). Conference Aims to bring together all aspects and research works in scientific platform to disscusse the latest and new trends in topics covered under broad areas such as (but not limited to) Enviromental Sciences, Earth and plant, air, water, and earth Pollution, Geography, materials analysis and characterization, Environmental Risk Assessment, Energy, Renewable Energy, Geo-technical earthquake Engineering, Soil and Ground water Treatment Techniques, Radiation, pollution and sustainability, waste Treatment, ..etc. The conference Publication is co-published by: (Under Approval).  

ICESAT aimed to bring together researchers, academicians, scientists, students, engineers, and practitioners to participate in and present their latest research findings, developments, and applications across various engineering fields.

Submission Policy

IICESAT Conference does not accept manuscripts that are currently under review, accepted for publication, or previously published in any journal, conference, book chapter, or proceeding. Authors must not submit the same manuscript to another publication venue during the review process.

Paper Requirements

Submitted papers must contain the abstract, figures, tables, references, and all supporting materials required for evaluation.

Only original and unpublished research contributions, whether theoretical, experimental, or applied, will be considered.

Formatting & Length

  • Font: Times New Roman, 10 pt (8 pt for references and index).
  • Single-spaced manuscript format.
  • Maximum manuscript length: 5,000 words.
  • Remove all double spaces before submission.
  • References must follow IEEE or Harvard citation style.
  • Figures should be embedded in the manuscript and saved at minimum 150 dpi.
  • Recommended page size: 115 mm × 180 mm.

Proceedings Template Requirements

Authors are invited to submit original research papers and innovative engineering applications related to the conference themes.

  • Maximum length: 10 pages (A4 format).
  • Recommended final length: 8–9 pages.
  • Abstract: 150–200 words.
  • Keywords: 4–5 keywords.

Mandatory Compliance Requirements

  • Similarity Index must be less than 10% (excluding references).
  • Turnitin Similarity Report is mandatory.
  • AI-generated manuscript content is not permitted.

Articles submitted to the IICESAT Conference must meet all submission requirements and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. About the City of Karbala, Iraq

Karbala is a very ancient city, it was known since the Babylonian age, it was used as a Christian graveyard prior to the Islamic conquest, some say the date of the city comes from the cities of (Tassoh al-Nahrain) which lies on the river of Balakubass (Old Euphrates), and on its land there was an ancient temple.

Karbala is an Iraqi Islamic Arabic city, it was famous at the pre-Islam age and possesses a various and great history especially when its land witnessed a unique event which is truly one of the noblest epics of martyrdom and sacrifice that was the battle of (Tuf).

Location: the city is located about 105 km southwest of the Capital Baghdad at 32.61°N, 44.08°E, it lies on the edge of the desert west of Euphrates river and on the left side of the (Hussainiya) canal. Al-Anbar province borders the city from its west and north, Najaf province borders the south side of the city; east side of the city is bordered by Babil province and some parts of Baghdad.

Its weather is damp, very hot at summer season, and fair at fall; its lands take the water from the canals of the Euphrates River, the city has many orchards , its has plain lands which made suitable for various agriculture, we can see many fruit trees and palm trees surrounding the city from all sides.

Karbala or Kerbala (Arabic: كَرْبَلَاء, is a city in central Iraq, located about 100 km (62 mi) southwest of Baghdad, and a few miles east of Lake Milh, also known as Razzaza Lake. Karbala is the capital of Karbala Governorate, and has an estimated population of 711,530 people (2018).

The city, best known as the location of the Battle of Karbala in 680 AD, or for the shrines of Hussain and Al Abbas, is considered a holy city for Shia Muslims. Tens of millions of Shi'ite Muslims visit the site twice a year.  The martyrdom of Husayn ibn Ali and Abbas ibn Ali is commemorated annually by millions of Shi'ites.

Up to 34 million pilgrims visit the city to observe ʿĀshūrāʾ (the tenth day of the month of Muharram), which marks the anniversary of Husayn's death, but the main event is the Arbaʿīn (the 40th day after 'Ashura'), where up to 40 million visit the graves. Most of the pilgrims travel on foot from all around Iraq and more than 56 countries

Technical Institute of Al-Samawa
Al-Samawa Technical Institute was established in 1989 by the Technical Education Authority, founded in 1969. It joined Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University (ATU) in 2014. The Institute currently represents one of the campuses of ATU University in Northern part of main Samawa City. The Institute offers Technical Diploma degrees (full-time two-year) in various specialization areas such as engineering technologies, management, administration techniques, and medical technologies.

The Institute aims to prepare technical staff in the technological, administrative, and medical disciplines qualified to be middle cadres in various sectors by providing technical education that makes the target more distinguished, efficient, and qualitatively to keep pace with scientific and technological developments. 

It is one of the formations of the Al-furat Al-Awsat Technical University. It was established in 1989 and is located in the northern part of the entrance to the city of Samawa. It now includes nine scientific departments.
  • Medical departments (Nursing Technology Department, Community Health Technology Department, Medical Laboratories Department, Kidney Dialysis Department)
  • Technological departments (Mechanical Technology Department, Electrical Technology Department, Surveying Technology Department, Building and Construction Department, Oil and Gas Refining Department, Information Technology Department, Oil Extraction and Well Drilling Department)
  • Administrative departments (Accounting Techniques Department, Legal Administration Department)
